Strategic Initiatives: Building Tomorrow Together
Friday September 25, 2026 13:30 - 13:50 CEST
At ITQ, we are all very ambitious and committed to helping the company grow — and that is something we achieve together.
Driving growth is always a combination of RUN activities (our day-to-day business and the customer assignments we work hard for every single day) and CHANGE initiatives. These initiatives are essential to keeping ITQ relevant in an ever-evolving market, allowing us to become the full-service provider and increasing our relevance across Europe.
To address CHANGE at a company-wide level, we have defined Strategic Initiatives that receive significant focus and attention every day. What role do these initiatives play in our long-term strategy? Why are they truly game-changing? And how do they help us collectively build our joint future?
You’ll discover the answers in this short lightning session.

Bring Your Own Agent - We’ll Bring the Cluster(s)
FILLING
Friday September 25, 2026 13:30 - 14:15 CEST
Limited Capacity filling up
This keynote explores the rapid evolution of the AI agent ecosystem. It details the shift toward agentic workflows supported by the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the standardization of reusable agent "Skills." The session emphasizes that as AI agents transition from experimental tools to enterprise-grade assets, there is a critical requirement for robust, secure infrastructure.
By introducing concepts like OpenClaw and secure sandboxing—specifically leveraging Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat AI—the session outlines a defense-in-depth strategy for managing autonomous agents at scale, drawing parallels between the current agent revolution and the historical maturation of Linux and container orchestration.

Women in IT(Q) - What I didn’t see
Friday September 25, 2026 13:30 - 14:15 CEST
Through a series of conversations, I realised how unaware I was of what women experience in IT and other male-dominated environments.

That insight triggered me to listen more. After several one-on-one conversations with women at ITQ, I discovered perspectives I simply hadn’t seen or understood before.

In this session, I share what I learned, what surprised me and what it could mean for us at ITQ.

No theory. Just real stories, honest reflection and potential starting points for how we can make a difference.

Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.
It started as a "let's see how far this goes." It didn't stop where I expected.
This is the story of how I rebuilt my homelab — from vSphere 7 to vSphere 9.1 with VKS — on a single 4-CPU, 64GB Supermicro box, almost entirely with the help of Claude Code. From bare metal to a cloud-native platform running FluxCD, Concourse CI, HashiCorp Vault, cert-manager, platform pipelines: built, deployed, and maintained with AI as a hands-on collaborator, not just an autocomplete.
A live look at what changes when AI moves from "helping you write code" to "helping you run infrastructure" — and a starting point for the conversation about where that leaves platform engineers.

ITQ ran a structured pilot putting Claude into the hands of real teams across sales, marketing, engineering, and the CTO office. This 15-minute session covers what we implemented, the workflows that actually stuck, and the value we created — hours recovered, work made easier, and the case for scaling it. I'll keep it honest: what worked, what didn't, how we handled security and the data boundary, and where we go next with a private AI environment in Phase 2.

VCF Private AI Services: A Peek Behind the Curtain
Friday September 25, 2026 14:20 - 15:05 CEST
AI infrastructure is moving beyond simply hosting models. The next generation of platforms must support complete AI systems: model serving, intelligent routing, shared inference services, agents, tools, memory, and isolated execution environments.
In this session, we take a look behind the curtain at where VMware Private AI Services (PAIS) is heading. We will introduce the new VMware AI Factory initiative, walk through the PAIS Model Runtime 4.0 architecture, and show how its components work together to provide models as a scalable platform service.
We will then expand the view beyond model inference and examine VCF as a platform for agentic workloads. We will look at where agents run, how they consume shared model endpoints, why agents need isolated execution environments, and which infrastructure services are required to support them.
The goal is to connect the individual technologies into one architectural picture and show how VCF, PAIS, and the VMware AI Factory fit together as the foundation for enterprise AI.

Eight months to move the brain of an airport. No downtime.
Friday September 25, 2026 15:35 - 15:55 CEST
Imagine being one of Europe's busiest airports, IT being the foundation of your day to day operations.
That makes high availability and business continuity a key principle of every system you implement, everything you do actually.
Now imagine getting a call from the commercial datacenter that provides you with that crucial availability.
"We sold the place, you are to vacate in eight months"

Not only did the airport need to procure and fit out a datacenter, they also needed to move all systems, while keeping the lights on.
Our Everpure storage arrays were one of the pillars of the environment, so they needed to keep running while we moved.
Let's talk about some of the challenges we faced and how we used the Everpure toolkit to address those.

How a PoC becomes production and the scaling pitfalls of a PoC
LIMITED
Friday September 25, 2026 15:35 - 15:55 CEST
Limited Capacity seats available
Building an AI proof of concept today is surprisingly easy. With the right tools and platforms, you can get something working in no time.

But turning that PoC into a production system is where the real work begins.

Suddenly, it’s about privacy, scalability, reliability, cost, and automation. Tools that worked fine in a prototype start to show their limits.

In this talk, I’ll walk through what to consider in that transition based on a ‘how-not-to’ and how to move from a quick demo to a robust, scalable AI solution.

May the Culture be With you
LIMITED
Friday September 25, 2026 15:35 - 16:20 CEST

Workshop: May the Culture be with you
Our culture has taken us a long way. Now it’s time to revisit where we came from, explore where we are today, and look ahead to where we’re going next.
In 2019, we made the implicit explicit. Together with a group ITQ’ers we captured what makes our culture unique and brought it to life in our Culture Wheel. Built on our cultural values, the strong foundation that still stands today.

Since then, a lot has happened. We have grown, changed and evolved. New ITQ’ers joined, our business developed and the world around us moved forward.
The foundation is still strong and we believe the story behind our Culture Wheel is too. But as we evolve, our culture evolves with us. New people bring new perspectives, experiences, add new layers, and the way we experience and live our culture may shift over time.

So now feels like the right moment to revisit our Culture Wheel together. Does it still capture who we are today? What should we preserve and strengthen? And are there new nuances or perspectives we should add as we look towards 2030?

Ready for a journey through time?
During May the Culture be with you, we’ll take you back to where the story began: 2019. From there, we travel through time to the ITQ of today, before setting course for 2030.

Along the way, we want to hear from you.
What from 2019 still feels unmistakably us? What has become even more important? What feels different today? What have we learned from ITQ’ers who joined us along the way? And what do we want to carry forward as we continue our journey towards 2030? Expect more than a workshop. Through sound, visuals, storytelling and a few surprises, we’ll bring our cultural journey to life. You won’t just look back at our story, you’ll help shape its next chapter.

Before the workshop, we’ll send you a short film about the story behind our Culture Wheel and how it came to life. Watch it before you join us, so we can start our journey together from where it all began.

Ready to join the journey? May the Culture be with you.

What makes ITQ, ITQ? Our story in your words
LIMITED
Friday September 25, 2026 16:00 - 16:20 CEST
Limited Capacity seats available
In 25 years we've grown into new teams, new countries, new specialisms. Which raised a question worth answering well. What actually makes ITQ, ITQ? Not the glossy version. The true one.

So we went looking together. Working groups across every BU. A survey for everyone. In-depth sessions with colleagues and leadership. Beyond Tech - AI's impact on environment and society
LIMITED
Friday September 25, 2026 16:00 - 16:20 CEST
Limited Capacity seats available
Artificial intelligence (AI) is an intriguing technology. It can create funny videos, help solving day to day problems, support in medical treatments and much more.
But at what cost? How will it change our society? Why does the fossil industry love AI? And - is it worth it?
This talk is not to answer all questions - but it is there to help understand when and why we should rethink using AI.
This session will contain technical terms, facts & figures - although, this session does not require any deep knowledge of AI.

You vibecoded a cool AI app. Now what.. ? Meet the ITQ AI Use Case Factory
Friday September 25, 2026 16:00 - 16:20 CEST
We have seen or been there: an afternoon of vibecoding and you've got an app with an AI feature that actually impresses people. Then the real questions start. Where does the model run, and is it allowed to see that data? How does it reach our tools? Who stops it from saying something embarrassing to a customer? The one-day demo quietly turns into a quarter of platform work — while AI itself moves on weekly.

The ITQ AI Use Case Factory is built for that exact moment: the plumbing (models, tool access, retrieval, guardrails) solved once, on private infrastructure, so an app with Private AI features goes from laptop to production in a day, not a quarter. Internally first, then at our customers.

This talk is for you if you:
  • build or vibecode apps and want your AI feature hosted, secured and used by real people — not stuck on your laptop
  • sell, and keep hearing "great PoC, but how do we get this into production?"
  • lead a team or the business and want a concrete picture of where AI at ITQ is heading

I will open the hood for an honest tour: what's inside, what we dropped, and what we'd build differently.

Lead Yourself First
Friday September 25, 2026 16:25 - 17:10 CEST

We often try to improve performance by optimizing processes, introducing new tools, or defining better frameworks. Yet every decision, every customer interaction, and every successful project still depends on the people behind them.

This talk begins with a personal story about learning that working harder isn't always the answer. Instead, sustainable performance starts with managing the one resource that influences everything else: ourselves.
It challenges the assumption that values like Quality, Authenticity, Passion and Ownership are purely behavioural - and instead explores how they are shaped by systems, expectations and everyday work design. The core message: culture is not what we define, but what we consistently enable.
Through this format, we examine together what truly enables or blocks these values in real work environments.

Cloud-native Virtualization
Friday September 25, 2026 16:25 - 17:10 CEST
I want to talk about the differences between traditional (VMware) and cloud-native (Kubevirt) virtualization. In doing so, I want to show the WoW, the skills, the use case, and possibly the actual implementation. I especially want to give our VMware people a behind-the-scenes look, as this is often still a blind spot.

This is not a session to convince people of KubeVirt, but primarily to show how cool it is in a Cloud-Native environment.

Compliance as Code: Automating Security Checks
Friday September 25, 2026 16:50 - 17:10 CEST
Security and Compliance does not always require endless spreadsheets, PDFs, Docs and manual tasks.
In this session we explore how the MITRE Security Automation Framework (SAF) can support use cases which require a standardized, automated compliance pipeline. An approach to be able to scale with the infrastructure and remove human errors.

We will walk you through a use case auditing an environment which needs to fulfill special security requirements by extending VMware DISA STIG compliance checks.

You will be introduced to a framework built on open source tooling.

Your takeaways:
- Understanding of MITRE SAF
- How to extend existing STIG profiles
- A live demo of a framework built on open source toolsets
